The latest book from well-known British culinary historian Marc Meltonville,  The Tavern Cook explores dining out in 18th century England through his study of British tavern cook Richard Briggs.  This book includes many, many recipes that Richard Briggs used in his cooking.

Some of you may remember Marc from his 2022 day at Westmoore Pottery as one of two cooks preparing foods in our fireplace here in the shop.  The other cook was Tony Shahan, who helped Marc with testing of the recipes included in The Tavern Cook.
