The 2009 and 2010 volumes of Ceramics in America are entirely on North Carolina earthenware pottery, and mainly cover the pottery made in our state from 1755 up until around 1850. This is a time period in North Carolina's pottery history that has before only been very sketchily covered in the literature about North Carolina pottery. Knowledge about the 1755-1850 years of NC pottery has dramatically increased in the last 30 years, and the text of these two books will reflect that increased knowledge. This, the 2009 volume, concentrates on updated information on the Moravian potters of North Carolina (Winston-Salem area and Mt. Shepherd).
